Agriculture Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Agriculture Business Development Manager at National Bank. As a key member of our Commercial Banking and Private Banking sector, you will play a crucial role in supporting agribusiness clients in your region with all their financial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Identify and develop business opportunities in your market to ensure sustained growth of your agribusiness client base.
- Client Support: Stay in touch with clients by providing them with advice adapted to their changing needs.
- Relationship Building: Establish trust-based relationships with colleagues and collaborate with your team to meet the company's needs as well as the personal needs of agribusiness clients.
- Negotiation: Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients while maximizing the desired profitability components.
- Industry Knowledge: Understand the general issues specific to the various production sectors.
- Networking: Participate in targeted visibility activities to generate contacts and develop your network.
- Portfolio Management: Maintain the quality of the loan and deposit portfolio.
You will join a team of specialists in the agriculture industry, surrounded by an ecosystem of experts to help you offer the solutions that best suit our clients' needs. You will report to the agricultural vice-president from your assigned region and manage a customer portfolio covering the same region.
Requirements- Education: Relevant college diploma (DEC) OR bachelor's degree in a related field OR master's degree in a related field OR university certificate combined with relevant experience.
- Experience: Relevant experience in the field of agriculture.
- Sales Advisory Skills: Very strong sales advisory skills.
- Industry Certifications: Being a member of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec, an asset.
- Industry Experience: Credit and banking industry experience, an asset.
