Role Summary

What is the opportunity?

RBC Dominion Securities is in search of an enthusiastic Client Relationship Development Associate. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on interpersonal connections and enjoy fostering relationships. It presents a valuable chance to gain insights into the wealth management sector while working alongside a high-achieving team. This position is offered as a one-year contract with full-time hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate contact with prospective clients to schedule financial consultations with an Investment Advisor
  • Assist in gathering essential documentation
  • Support the proposal creation process
  • Identify and cultivate business leads and manage the sales pipeline through proactive outreach, follow-ups, and emails
  • Keep the Investment Advisor informed with regular updates on client prospects
  • Contribute to the advisory team's social media outreach, marketing efforts, and lead management for newsletters

Qualifications for Success
Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in making proactive calls to introduce new offerings
  • Bilingual (English and French) is mandatory, as you will frequently engage with clients requiring both language services
  • Drive to meet objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
  • Outgoing demeanor with excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence and a proven ability to influence discussions
  • Resilience in the face of rejection while maintaining a positive outlook
  • Capability to work autonomously
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in client communication via phone in a contact center environment
  • Background in sales
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
  • University degree
  • Familiarity with entrepreneurs and business owners
