Educational Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years
  • Relevant experience in accounting or a related field
Work Environment

This role involves on-site customer service, ensuring effective communication and support for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

The Accounting Technician will be responsible for:

  • Calculating and preparing payroll cheques
  • Assessing fixed assets and their depreciation
  • Maintaining financial records and balancing various accounts through both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Managing general ledgers and preparing financial statements
  • Posting journal entries and preparing various financial reports
  • Filing tax returns and preparing trial balances
  • Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy
Technical Skills

Proficiency in the following software is required:

  • Accounting software
  • Data analysis tools
  • MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Office
  • MS Windows
