Position Overview

We are seeking a Culinary Specialist to join our esteemed establishment, Indian Hut. This role is essential in delivering exceptional dining experiences through the preparation of authentic Indian dishes.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Work Environment

The position is based in a vibrant restaurant setting, where teamwork and collaboration are key.

Chef Responsibilities
  • Oversee and maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Guide and instruct kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Regularly prepare and cook meals, including specialty dishes for events and guests.
  • Plan and design menus that meet high-quality standards and cater to diverse dietary needs.
  • Manage requisitioning of food and kitchen supplies efficiently.
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
Certifications

A valid Safe Food Handling certificate is necessary for this role.

Cuisine Expertise

Specialization in East Indian cuisine is essential.
