Qualifications- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role
The position is based in a vibrant restaurant setting, where teamwork and efficiency are essential.
Chef Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Instruct kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and cook meals regularly, including special dishes for guests.
- Plan menus that meet quality standards and cater to customer preferences.
- Address dietary restrictions by preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
Possession of a Safe Food Handling certificate is required.
Cuisine ExpertiseSpecialization in East Indian cuisine is preferred.
Work Conditions- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Organized and efficient in managing kitchen operations.
- A true team player who collaborates well with others.
This is a permanent position with a commitment of 35 hours per week. The working language is English.
