Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at Indian Hut. This role requires a passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role
Work Environment

The position is based in a vibrant restaurant setting, where teamwork and efficiency are essential.

Chef Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Instruct kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and cook meals regularly, including special dishes for guests.
  • Plan menus that meet quality standards and cater to customer preferences.
  • Address dietary restrictions by preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
Certifications

Possession of a Safe Food Handling certificate is required.

Cuisine Expertise

Specialization in East Indian cuisine is preferred.

Employment Details

This is a permanent position with a commitment of 35 hours per week. The working language is English.
