Position Overview

We are seeking a Culinary Specialist to join our team at Indian Hut. This role involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role
Work Environment

The position is based in a restaurant setting, where you will work closely with a team of kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient operation.
  • Prepare and cook meals regularly, as well as for special events.
  • Plan menus and ensure that all food meets quality standards.
  • Handle food allergies and intolerances with care.
  • Train staff in food preparation and safety practices.
Certifications

A Safe Food Handling certificate is required for this position.

Cuisine Expertise

Specialization in East Indian cuisine is essential.

Work Conditions
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
