About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, maintain employee benefits records, and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax returns and sales tax returns.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
