About the Role

Klöckner Pentaplast is a leading global company in the packaging and specialty film industry, renowned for its commitment to sustainability and innovation. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive Business Growth: Manage and develop profitable relationships with key accounts, identifying new business opportunities and driving sales growth.
  2. Develop Account Plans: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute account development plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  3. Customer Engagement: Plan and execute customer visits, ensuring high-quality interactions and building strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  4. Sales and Delivery: Develop and execute sales strategies to deliver packaging solutions to customers, taking ownership of the sales pipeline process.
  5. Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate new customer contracts in line with company guidelines, working closely with internal stakeholders.
  6. Competitor Intelligence: Monitor and report on competitor activities in the designated geographic area.
  7. Forecasting and Reporting: Support finance in forecasting volumes and margin, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  8. Product Promotion: Actively promote and sell new products and services, leveraging existing CRM and BI tools.
  9. Team Collaboration: Contribute to the overall development of the sales team, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  10. Individual Performance: Develop and deliver individual sales budgets, driving personal and team performance.
  11. Price Increases: Proactively drive and implement price increases in line with company guidelines.
  12. Value Selling: Drive value selling, delivering packaging solutions that meet customer needs and expectations.

Requirements

Education: Business- or Engineering degree.

Attributes and Behaviors: Strong drive for results, ability to develop and challenge customers, positive and optimistic approach, organized and able to prioritize, strong analytical thinker, team player, adaptable, motivated by stretched ambitions, tenacity and discipline, strong relationship builder, dares to lead, structured and disciplined.

Technical Skills: Excellent IT skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Salesforce, and/or other CRM, SAP-BW, and Power BI.

Experience: Strong business acumen and account management experience, preferably 5-7 years, with 1-2 years in food packaging/food science.
