Office Administrator

The Métis Nation of Ontario is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team in Thunder Bay. As the primary point of contact for our office, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to our staff, including data entry, report preparation, and correspondence
- Manage office supplies, inventory, and filing systems
- Coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements
- Respond to walk-ins, address general concerns, and provide excellent customer service
- Assist with monitoring parking lot for unauthorized vehicles and respond to after-hours emergencies
- Participate in the after-hours emergency on-call schedule to ensure 24-hour coverage
- Perform other clerical duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
- Administrative or customer service experience
- Strong desire to act in the service of Métis Citizens, to advance and uphold rights and culture
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- A high degree of technology literacy and proficiency in standard office equipment
- Advanced communications skills, both written and verbal
- Post-secondary education in Office Administration
- 1-2 years previous experience in a similar/comparable role
- 1 year work experience in residential property management
- Some familiarity with Landlord and Tenant issues
