Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic HR Leader to join our team at Manitoba Public Insurance. As a Total Rewards Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive business results and support the company's overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Provide strategic HR leadership and oversight of total rewards policies, programs, and practices to support the company's business objectives.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Develop and implement the company's compensation philosophy, compensation strategies, processes, and practices to meet the needs of the business and corporate objectives.
  • Employee Engagement: Lead a team of HR professionals to create and deliver value-added HR services and programs that enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • HR Administration: Provide leadership and direction on complex HR issues, acting as a point of escalation for HR-related matters.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with management to provide advice and consult on HR administration processes and practices, including making recommendations on guidelines, procedures, or policies.
  • Operational Management: Manage an operating budget, participate in strategic planning, and budget for special projects and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Commerce, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Eight years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including two years in a management or leadership role.
  • Skills: Excellent working knowledge of applicable legislation, sound analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, and a strong business orientation.
