The Product Marketing division at Lightspeed is on the lookout for a driven Product Marketing Manager to spearhead growth and lifecycle marketing initiatives for our Financial Services offerings, particularly in the Payments sector, emphasizing the Instant Payout and Payment Link functionalities. Reporting directly to the Global Lead of Product Marketing for Financial Services, this role will: assess trends in the adoption and utilization of our Instant Payout and Payment Link features to shape and define marketing strategies; lead continuous experimentation and growth initiatives to enhance funnel performance; and execute growth and lifecycle marketing programs that align with our business objectives. Additionally, this position will prioritize optimizing the onboarding journey for new merchants utilizing Lightspeed Payments.

To excel in this role, you will: cultivate relationships across the organization; engage with a variety of stakeholders, including product, marketing, sales, customer service, partnerships, and others to facilitate the launch and lifecycle management of essential Payment features across all relevant products; initiate and influence new programs and collaborative approaches across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in the payments sector and comprehend the evolving landscape that supports retailers and restaurateurs in achieving success.
  • Analyze the competitive environment and their primary product offerings to guide customer marketing and growth strategies.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach to validate and define user personas that can be transformed into actionable insights and strategies.
  • Define customer marketing and growth tactics for key payment features, targeting both Hospo and Retail audiences.
  • Conduct data analysis and market research to extract insights and inform strategies for enhancing Payments adoption.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of an experimentation roadmap; secure cross-functional alignment and support across teams necessary for executing the growth strategy.
  • Contribute to the overarching Payments Marketing roadmap of initiatives that span the customer lifecycle, from awareness and consideration to product adoption, onboarding, and retention.
  • Assist in go-to-market planning and execution of significant launches, collaborating with other Product Marketing Managers in Financial Services.
  • Work with regional Integrated Marketing Managers to synchronize the rollout of global and region-specific initiatives on the Payments growth roadmap.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with various cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Managers, Sales, and creative and automation specialists.
  • Collaborate closely with Content, Design, Marketing Automation, and Product teams to create engaging and impactful content that resonates with our customers.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in product marketing, growth or lifecycle marketing, or similar go-to-market roles.
  • A proactive mindset with a natural curiosity for discovering new opportunities and a desire to bring them to fruition.
  • Previous experience in SaaS marketing, ideally with exposure to consumer applications, early-stage startups, or small business audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams.
  • Strong project management skills to lead and influence multiple cross-functional stakeholders to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Ability to establish, maintain, and manage effective working relationships across various departments and levels.
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A genuine interest in and passion for supporting small businesses in their success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or certification from the Product Marketing Alliance.
  • Experience in the Financial Services sector in any capacity is a valuable asset.
