The Product Marketing division at Lightspeed is on the lookout for a driven Product Marketing Manager to spearhead growth and lifecycle marketing initiatives for our Financial Services offerings, particularly focusing on Payments, including Instant Payout and Payment Link functionalities. Reporting to the Global Lead of Product Marketing for Financial Services, this role will involve: analyzing trends in the adoption and utilization of our Instant Payout and Payment Link features to shape and define marketing strategies; driving continuous experimentation and growth initiatives to enhance funnel performance; and executing growth and lifecycle marketing programs that align with business objectives. Additionally, this position will prioritize optimizing the onboarding journey for new merchants utilizing Lightspeed Payments.

To excel in this role, you will need to: foster relationships across the organization; engage with a variety of stakeholders such as product, marketing, sales, customer service, partnerships, and others to expedite the launch and lifecycle management of key Payment features across all relevant products; initiate and refine new programs and collaborative approaches across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in the payments sector and comprehend the evolving landscape that supports retailers and restaurateurs in achieving success.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and their primary product offerings to inform customer marketing and growth strategies.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach to validate and define user personas that can be transformed into actionable insights and strategies.
  • Define customer marketing and growth tactics for essential payment features across Hospitality and Retail audiences.
  • Conduct data analysis and market research to extract insights and inform strategies for enhancing Payments adoption.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of an experimentation roadmap; secure cross-functional alignment and buy-in across teams necessary to execute the growth strategy.
  • Contribute to the overarching Payments Marketing roadmap of initiatives that span the customer lifecycle, from awareness and consideration to product adoption, onboarding, and retention.
  • Assist in go-to-market planning and execution of significant launches, collaborating with other Product Marketing Managers in Financial Services.
  • Work with regional Integrated Marketing Managers to synchronize the rollout of global and region-specific initiatives on the Payments growth roadmap.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with various cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Managers, Sales, and creative and automation specialists.
  • Collaborate closely with Content, Design, Marketing Automation, and Product teams to produce engaging and impactful content that resonates with our customers.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in product marketing, growth or lifecycle marketing, or related go-to-market roles.
  • A self-motivated mindset with a natural curiosity for discovering new opportunities and a desire to bring them to fruition.
  • Prior experience in SaaS marketing, ideally with exposure to consumer applications, early-stage startups, or small business audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams.
  • Strong project management skills to lead and influence multiple cross-functional stakeholders to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Ability to establish, maintain, and manage close working relationships across various departments and levels.
  • Proficient quantitative analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A genuine interest in and curiosity about supporting small businesses in their success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or certification from the Product Marketing Alliance.
  • Experience in the Financial Services sector in any capacity is a significant advantage.
