Position Overview

We are looking for an innovative Finance & Tax Systems Manager to oversee our team of Application Engineers in creating enterprise solutions that effectively merge technology with business processes. In this capacity, you will apply your knowledge in corporate finance, treasury, taxation, receivables, payables, and financial reporting to facilitate essential business decisions concerning technology and process management.

As the Finance Systems Manager, you will leverage your advanced systems expertise to ensure that solutions are developed in accordance with best practices and internal controls. You will manage all stages of requirement delivery, including planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, functional design, deployment, and evaluation. Additionally, you will recruit, mentor, and guide a team of specialists who are vital business partners across the organization.

Your role will be crucial in connecting technology with business requirements, driving effective solutions that align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and supervise a team of Application Engineers responsible for developing and maintaining technology platforms across all functional areas related to retail operations.
  2. Design and enhance software solutions in alignment with the organization's strategic vision.
  3. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
  4. Address and propose solutions for complex challenges within an agile or waterfall project framework.
  5. Provide insights and guidance on the sequencing of the technology roadmap.
  6. Configure new application features and phase out existing functionalities as necessary.
  7. Develop and implement improvements for current applications and platforms.
  8. Maintain an expert level of application knowledge with each upgrade or new implementation.
  9. Oversee the creation and review of all technical documentation.
  10. Formulate and manage production deployment strategies.
  11. Ensure application security models are planned and aligned with best practices and licensing efficiency.
  12. Engage with the user community to resolve issues, enhance system functionality, and improve user experience.
  13. Create test case scenarios for Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  1. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a technology lead in implementing financial solutions.
  2. At least 3 years' experience managing a team and leading design efforts for complex projects.
  3. A university degree in a relevant field such as Business, Information Technology, Management, or Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  4. Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies.
  5. Experience with at least 3 full system implementations of D365 or other financial/ERP systems.
  6. Over 5 years of experience in D365 Finance & Operations, with certification required.
  7. A financial designation or certification is preferred.
  8. In-depth knowledge of commerce technology/platform architecture related to ERP integrations.
  9. Intermediate to advanced understanding of Power Platform, Power App, and Power Automate applications.
  10. Knowledge of cloud computing, networks, server management, IT security, and programming.
