About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at LJW Catering. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Support
    • Provide administrative support to staff members, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist with staff consultation and grievance procedures, ensuring that all matters are handled with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Information Management
    • Coordinate the flow of information within the team, ensuring that all relevant parties are informed and up-to-date.
    • Open and distribute mail and other materials, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Operations Management
    • Plan and control budget and expenditures, ensuring that all financial matters are handled efficiently and effectively.
    • Plan and organize daily operations, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Supervision and Training
    • Supervise other workers, providing guidance and support to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard.
    • Train other workers, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Office Administration
    • Determine and establish office procedures and routines, ensuring that all administrative tasks are handled efficiently and effectively.
    • Schedule and confirm appointments, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Training and Development
    • Manage training and development strategies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
    • Oversee the analysis of employee data and information, using insights to inform business decisions.
  • Employee Relations
    • Respond to employee questions and complaints, providing support and guidance to resolve issues.
    • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.
  • Office Maintenance
    • Order office supplies and maintain inventory, ensuring that all necessary materials are available.
    • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Digital Management
    • Maintain and manage digital databases, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Work Environment
    • Supervise office and volunteer staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Work Arrangements

    • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
