Role Summary The Assistant Manager, Operations is a vital member of the leadership team, tasked with ensuring the seamless operation of our retail business. This role involves overseeing essential business functions, including financial management, inventory control, vendor relations, and operational technology. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for creating the weekly work schedule and managing administrative tasks related to personnel.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence
  • Translate the Store Manager's operational vision into actionable tasks for the team.
  • Develop and manage the weekly schedule based on labor needs and budget constraints.
  • Proactively engage on the retail floor to assess and meet business and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to analyze financial data and inform strategic planning.
  • Lead the retail team by ensuring effective coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Support inventory management by ensuring accurate counts and coordinating delivery schedules.
  • Implement company-wide operational initiatives and projects.
  • Adhere to safety policies to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Conduct work in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Team Leadership
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful team culture that celebrates diversity.
  • Handle administrative duties to support team members, including payroll and time-off requests.
  • Communicate team growth needs to management to build a diverse workforce.
  • Build strong relationships with team members, focusing on their development.
Customer Engagement
  • Ensure a seamless customer experience by managing omnichannel services.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Address customer feedback and resolve issues effectively.
Financial Oversight
  • Accountable for managing aspects of the controllable budget and labor hours.
People Management
  • Indirectly oversee a subset of store employees as designated by the Store Manager.

Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year in managing operations and administration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year in retail or sales management is advantageous.
Work Environment

  • Requires outreach to build community relationships.
  • Utilizes technology for communication and operations.
  • Physical activity includes moving throughout the store and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Compensation & BenefitsmyGwork offers a competitive compensation package that reflects our commitment to recognizing exceptional performance. The base pay range for this role is $23.60- $31.93/hour, with additional bonus potential of 25% based on performance metrics.
