Chatham Chrysler is seeking Experienced Vehicle Sales Advisors to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

The role of the Sales Consultant revolves around comprehending and fulfilling customer requirements. To excel in sales, candidates should possess a foundational understanding of automotive systems, along with comprehensive knowledge of pricing, models, series, options, and variations of the manufacturer's offerings. Additionally, awareness of competitors' products and pricing is essential. Above all, a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a keen interest in surpassing customer expectations are vital. Effective communication skills are necessary to engage with customers, present the dealership's offerings, and accurately assess customer needs through insightful questioning.

The Sales Consultant must be a skilled negotiator, adept at addressing customer concerns and hesitations. Throughout the sales process, they should embody a positive representation of the dealership, maintaining a professional appearance and a friendly demeanor. In collaboration with the Sales Manager, the Sales Consultant will establish personal sales targets and strategies to achieve them.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage every customer as a potential long-term client, projecting a professional image that reflects honesty and genuine concern for their needs.
  2. Facilitate vehicle sales to enhance dealership profitability, boost sales volume, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Communicate objectives and planned activities to management.
  4. Guide customers through the vehicle delivery process, ensuring they understand the features, warranty details, and all relevant documentation to foster loyalty.
  5. Implement a follow-up system for owners and prospects to encourage repeat business, referrals, and new opportunities.
  6. Introduce customers to our Service Department personnel to highlight the quality and efficiency of our operations.
  7. Acknowledge that customer satisfaction is the foundation of business success and commit to ensuring it.

Essential Skills:

  1. Understanding of sales procedures, processes, and follow-up techniques.
  2. Ability to warmly welcome and engage customers.
  3. Capacity to relate effectively to customers from diverse backgrounds, with a focus on satisfaction.
  4. Knowledge of dealership products, including pricing, models, series, options, warranties, colors, standard equipment, and specifications.
  5. Proficiency in prospecting and soliciting referrals.
  6. Ability to provide counsel to customers regarding their preferences, financial considerations, and needs.
