Position Overview:

The role of the Sales Consultant is primarily focused on understanding and fulfilling customer requirements. To effectively sell, this individual must possess a foundational knowledge of automotive systems, as well as a comprehensive understanding of pricing, models, series, options, and other variations of the manufacturer's offerings. Additionally, familiarity with competitors' products and pricing is essential. Above all, this individual should demonstrate empathy towards customers and a strong commitment to exceeding their expectations. Excellent communication skills are vital, enabling the Sales Consultant to present the dealership's products effectively and to identify customer needs through insightful questioning.

The Sales Consultant must be a skilled negotiator, adept at addressing customer concerns and objections. Throughout the sales process, this individual should embody a positive representation of the dealership, reflected in professional attire and a friendly demeanor. Collaborating with the Sales Manager, the Sales Consultant will establish personal sales targets and strategies to achieve them.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Treat every customer as a potential lifelong client, projecting a professional image that reflects honesty and genuine concern for their needs.
  2. Facilitate vehicle sales to enhance dealership profitability, boost sales volume, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  3. Communicate objectives and planned activities to management.
  4. Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they comprehend the operational features, warranty conditions, and all related documentation to foster customer loyalty.
  5. Implement a follow-up system for owners and prospect development to encourage repeat, referral, and new business.
  6. Introduce customers to our Service Department personnel to highlight the quality and efficiency of the dealership's services.
  7. Acknowledge that business success is rooted in customer satisfaction and commit to ensuring it.

Required Skills:

  1. Understanding of sales processes, procedures, and follow-up techniques.
  2. Ability to warmly greet and engage with customers.
  3. Capability to relate effectively to customers from diverse backgrounds, prioritizing their satisfaction.
  4. Knowledge of dealership products (pricing, models, series, options, warranties, colors, standard equipment, specifications).
  5. Proficiency in prospecting and soliciting referrals.
  6. Aptitude for advising customers based on their preferences, financial considerations, and needs.
