We are looking for a passionate and skilled youth recreation leader to motivate and guide young people across various locations within Kinbridge.

Position Overview:

As a youth recreation leader, your primary responsibility will be to design and execute adaptable youth programs that promote essential life skills and social development. You will engage with youth, providing enriching life experiences and cultivating a nurturing environment for their personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and facilitate a range of flexible recreational activities tailored to youth, emphasizing life skills and social development.
  2. Act as a mentor and engage with young individuals, offering support and guidance to help them navigate personal and social challenges.
  3. Adapt program content to address the diverse needs and interests of participants.
  4. Encourage a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes active participation and personal development.
  5. Provide constructive feedback and motivation to assist youth in achieving their objectives.
  6. Maintain detailed records of participants' progress and program outcomes, including essential statistical data for funding purposes.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Current First Aid certification is required.
  3. Completion of high school diploma or equivalent post-secondary education in fields such as education, social work, recreation, or youth services.
  4. Demonstrated experience in mentoring or working with youth.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse youth populations.
  6. Experience in creating and implementing programs that focus on life skills and social development.
  7. Willingness to work in various locations and adapt programming as necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Compensation: Starting at $17.20 per hour

Expected Hours: 5 – 15 hours per week
