Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Life Enrichment Programs to join our team at peopleCare Communities. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating life enrichment programs that meet the physical, psychological, social, recreational, and spiritual needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement life enrichment programs that align with the peopleCare Communities' mission and values
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess resident needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Staff Supervision and Training
    • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality life enrichment programs
    • Provide coaching and feedback to staff to improve their performance
  • Volunteer Management
    • Recruit, orient, and supervise volunteers to support life enrichment programs
    • Ensure volunteers are aware of and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure their needs are met
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of life enrichment programs
  • Reporting and Compliance
    • Maintain accurate records and reports related to life enrichment programs
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
Requirements
  • 3 years of progressive experience in a related field
  • Undergraduate University Degree or equivalent in areas such as Activation, Kinesiology, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy, Gerontology, Recreation Leadership
