Position Overview:

We are looking for a committed and skilled youth engagement coordinator to motivate and guide young people in various settings at Kinbridge. As a youth engagement coordinator, you will serve as a mentor to the youth in our community, focusing on their personal growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement a variety of adaptable recreational programs aimed at developing life skills and social competencies among youth.
  2. Mentor and connect with young individuals, providing support and guidance to help them navigate personal and social challenges.
  3. Tailor program content to meet the diverse interests and needs of participants.
  4. Encourage a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes active participation and personal growth.
  5. Offer constructive feedback and motivation to assist youth in reaching their objectives.
  6. Maintain accurate records of participant progress and program outcomes, including essential statistical data for funding purposes.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Current First Aid certification.
  3. Completion of high school diploma or equivalent college degree in education, social work, recreation, child and youth work, or a related field.
  4. Demonstrated experience in mentoring or working with youth.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse youth populations.
  6. Experience in creating and delivering programs that emphasize life skills and social development.
  7. Willingness to work in various locations and adapt programming as necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Compensation: Starting at $17.20 per hour

Expected Hours: 5 – 15 hours per week
