Role Overview:
OMERS Private Equity ("OPE") manages a $10 billion evergreen fund focused on direct private equity investments. We aim to build a diverse portfolio across geographic markets, economic sectors, and stages of development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investment Evaluation:
    Conduct thorough research and analysis of potential investment opportunities, including industry assessments and financial modeling.
  • Financial Modeling:
    Create financial models to represent a company's historical and projected performance.
  • Due Diligence:
    Prepare commercial and operational assessments to evaluate investment viability.
  • Risk Assessment:
    Analyze financial returns and risks associated with new investments.
  • Internal Presentations:
    Compile and present investment findings to internal stakeholders.

Portfolio Management:

  • Monitor and assess the performance of existing portfolio companies.
  • Collaborate with management on strategic acquisitions.
  • Support financial structuring and capital management initiatives.
  • Provide financial reporting to aid in decision-making processes.
  • Engage in various operational projects alongside management.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree, ideally in Business or Finance.
  • Previous experience in investment banking, equity research, management consulting, or private equity is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
