About the Role

Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) is seeking a highly skilled Investment Operations Analyst to join our team. As an Investment Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of our private investments and infrastructure portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investment Accounting: Ensure the operations of the private investments and infrastructure portfolios are properly and accurately reflected in the private equity sub-ledger system.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, including working papers and schedules supporting the close.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Review investment activity to ensure compliance with HOOPP's Investment Policies & Guidelines.
  • Audit: Assist with the external audit process, preparing supporting documents and files as requested by the auditors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of similar operational experience in investment or fund accounting for private investments.
  • Accounting designation (CGA/CPA) or working towards an accounting designation is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness is essential.
  • Ability to respond to queries on numerous topics effectively and promptly.
  • Prioritize and produce workload in a timely fashion to meet deadlines.
