Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team at the Government of Saskatchewan. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing front-line technical support to our employees, ensuring that our computer systems and networks are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person
  • Identify and resolve technical issues with desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity issues
  • Install and maintain software and hardware
  • Document and maintain technical knowledge base
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role
  • Knowledge of current desktop and network operating systems (Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and 10)
  • Knowledge of current commercial software applications (Microsoft Office XP, 2003, 2007, 2010, 2016 products)
  • Familiarity with personal computer and network hardware components, data communications hardware, software and networking protocols
