Role Overview:
As a Work Desk Representative at ATCO Electric, you will be an essential part of our operations, thriving in a fast-paced and evolving environment where you will be encouraged to excel and contribute meaningfully.
Reporting to the Supervisor of the Central Work Desk, your responsibilities will include managing daily operations of the Central Work Desk, responding to and routing incoming outage emergencies, and dispatching work requests from a call center to the appropriate service provider within ATCO Electric's distribution network. You will assess the urgency of requests and ensure timely assignments through the Central Work Desk.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Commitment (Work rotational shifts: am to pm or pm to am)
- Address all work requests, referrals, and restoration inquiries from call centers and direct customer communications via various channels.
- Monitor and finalize work requests, generating completion reports.
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, photocopying, faxing, sorting mail, and data entry, while assisting the Supervisor of the Central Work Desk.
- Utilize Work Force Management System (WFMS) and Outage Management System (OMS) to manage work requests, track progress, and ensure completion.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in a related role is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Databases, Word, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Prior experience with data entry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating a computer while managing telephone conversations is beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, self-motivated with sound decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of ATCO Electric, its service area, and customer demographics is a plus.
The successful candidate will be expected to reside within the designated service area for Vegreville, AB.
