Position Overview

The National Account Manager (NAM) plays a pivotal role in driving market expansion for national clientele across various sectors in Canada. This role demands a wealth of sales expertise, particularly in identifying and pursuing national accounts, coupled with a commanding presence in high-stakes meetings, strong business insight, and a relentless pursuit of success. The focus of this position is entirely on new business sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve defined sales objectives
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance lead generation efforts
  • Explore the market for potential new clients
  • Engage prospects through various channels, including professional networking platforms, phone calls, texts, and emails to arrange meetings
  • Facilitate executive-level discussions to showcase Rentokil Initial and our service offerings
  • Maintain and manage customer relationship data within CRM systems, including Salesforce, focusing on pipeline management, forecasting, and account details
  • Craft, price, and present proposals for innovative service programs
  • Negotiate terms and contracts
  • Identify and engage potential strategic clients
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to ensure sustained success
  • Ensure uniformity across various sites and divisions
  • Participate in relevant industry associations and attend trade shows and summits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of five years of demonstrated success in sales, particularly with large, complex accounts spanning multiple locations; experience in service sales is preferred
  • Strong presence and communication skills suitable for boardroom environments
  • Exceptional skills in prospecting, cold calling, and networking
  • Consultative selling capabilities: adept at listening, understanding client needs, and proposing effective solutions
  • Preferred experience in the services sector
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
  • Meticulous attention to detail and eagerness to learn
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Training in Strategic/Consultative Selling methodologies, such as Miller Heiman, is advantageous
  • High-level negotiation and commercial skills
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
