About the Role

The Senior Vice President of Capital Markets will collaborate closely with the Executive Vice President and President of Capital Markets | Canada to implement Colliers' strategy for revenue enhancement and market share expansion. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in cultivating and sustaining client relationships, as well as supervising valuation and financial analysis functions. Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing essential materials for pitches, proposals, Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), and various client presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the President of Capital Markets | Canada and Senior Leadership to spearhead business development and manage client relationships, expanding the client portfolio by identifying new opportunities.
  • Oversee and mentor junior members of the Capital Markets team in the development and execution of proposals, presentations, CIMs, and other special projects.
  • Take a leading role in crafting proposals, pitches, and CIMs, ensuring thorough organization, delegation, and provision of relevant qualitative and quantitative analyses in presentation format.
  • Formulate strategies for pitches and actively participate in presenting these to current and prospective clients.
  • Establish and nurture robust communication channels with clients to enhance team operations and promote the Capital Markets brand.
  • Assist in coordinating and expanding a streamlined Capital Markets | Canada platform.
  • Work in conjunction with Colliers Brokerage Advisors to enhance their capabilities and deliver additional value to clients.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Real Estate license is mandatory, along with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity within the commercial real estate sector.
  • Established relationships with Investors, including REITs, Public Corporations, Pension Funds, and other significant Institutional entities.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication abilities. Must exhibit an enterprising spirit.
  • Proven capability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business requirements, client expectations, and the cultural/financial dynamics of organizations and the marketplace. Must be a strong leader.
  • Resourcefulness: A hands-on approach; comfortable with multitasking; and a proactive individual who is always ready to contribute and accomplish tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree required; a post-secondary or advanced degree in finance, economics, real estate, or a related field is advantageous.
