About the role

The Vice President, Capital Markets | Canada, will collaborate closely with the President, Capital Markets | Canada and senior executives to implement Colliers' strategy for revenue and market share expansion. This role involves aiding in the identification, development, and nurturing of both new and existing client partnerships. The ideal candidate will also take the lead in valuation, financial assessment, and the creation of pertinent materials for pitches, proposals, Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), and all other client presentations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with senior executives to support business development and client relationship management through mandate execution.
  • Expanding the client portfolio while actively seeking new business prospects.
  • Delivering effective project management, ensuring timely project completion and meeting client expectations.
  • Contributing to the development of proposals, pitches, and CIMs, while organizing, delegating, and providing relevant qualitative and quantitative analyses in presentation format. Participation in client presentations is also expected.
  • Establishing and maintaining robust communication channels with clients to enhance team operations and promote the Capital Markets brand.
  • Assisting in the coordination and growth of a streamlined Capital Markets | Canada platform.
  • Representing the company as an industry expert at events and forums to enhance personal and corporate visibility in the market.
  • Collaborating with Colliers Brokerage Advisors to improve their capabilities and deliver additional value to clients.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Real Estate license is essential, along with over 5 years of experience in a comparable role within commercial real estate.
  • Established relationships with Investors, including REITs, Public Corporations, Pension Funds, and other significant Institutional entities.
  • Strategic mindset coupled with outstanding communication skills. A proactive approach is essential.
  • Proven ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative team player who can lead, manage, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Resourcefulness: A hands-on individual who is adaptable and always ready to contribute.
  • High energy levels and initiative; self-driven and quick to learn.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required. A post-secondary degree in finance, economics, real estate, or a related field is advantageous.
