Position Overview

The role of Vice President, Capital Markets is pivotal in driving the strategic growth of Colliers International. This position entails collaborating closely with senior leadership to enhance revenue streams and expand market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the President of Capital Markets and senior executives to spearhead business development initiatives and manage client relationships, focusing on identifying new opportunities.
  • Oversee and mentor junior team members in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other critical documentation.
  • Lead the creation of compelling proposals and presentations, ensuring the integration of qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Formulate strategies for pitches and actively participate in presenting to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Establish and nurture effective communication channels with clients to strengthen team operations and enhance the Capital Markets brand.
  • Support the development of a streamlined Capital Markets platform across Canada.
  • Work in conjunction with Colliers Brokerage Advisors to enhance their service offerings and deliver additional value to clients.

Qualifications

  • A valid Real Estate license is essential, along with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate.
  • Established relationships with key investors, including REITs, public corporations, and pension funds.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills are required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A comprehensive understanding of business and client needs, along with the cultural and financial dynamics of the marketplace.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degrees in finance, economics, real estate, or related fields are advantageous.
