About the role

The Vice President, Capital Markets | Canada, will collaborate closely with the President, Capital Markets | Canada and senior leadership to implement Colliers' strategies for revenue enhancement and market expansion. This role involves sourcing, developing, and nurturing relationships with both new and existing clients. The successful candidate will also take the lead in valuation, financial assessments, and the creation of essential materials for pitches, proposals, Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), and other client presentations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with senior leadership to drive business development and manage client relationships through effective execution of mandates.
  • Expanding the client portfolio while actively seeking new business prospects.
  • Overseeing project management to ensure timely completion and alignment with client expectations.
  • Contributing to the preparation of proposals, pitches, and CIMs, while organizing, delegating, and providing relevant qualitative and quantitative analyses for presentations. Participation in client pitches is also expected.
  • Establishing and maintaining robust communication channels with clients to enhance team operations and promote the Capital Markets brand.
  • Supporting the coordination and growth of a streamlined Capital Markets | Canada platform.
  • Representing the company as an industry expert at events and forums to enhance personal and corporate visibility in the market.
  • Working alongside Colliers Brokerage Advisors to improve their capabilities and deliver additional value to clients.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Real Estate license is mandatory, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role within commercial real estate.
  • Established relationships with Investors, including REITs, Public Corporations, Pension Funds, and other significant Institutional entities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and exceptional communication abilities. A proactive mindset is essential.
  • Proven capability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative team player who can lead, manage, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Resourcefulness: A hands-on approach; comfortable with multiple responsibilities; and a proactive individual who is always ready to contribute.
  • High energy, initiative, self-motivation, and a quick learning ability.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a post-secondary degree in finance, economics, real estate, or a related field is advantageous.
