Vice President, Capital Markets

About the Role

The Vice President, Capital Markets will collaborate closely with the President and Senior Leadership to implement strategies aimed at enhancing revenue and expanding market presence. This role is pivotal in fostering and nurturing relationships with both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Senior Leaders to drive business development and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and growing the existing client portfolio.
  • Oversee project management to ensure timely completion and satisfaction of client requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation of proposals, pitches, and Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), providing comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Establish robust communication channels with clients to enhance team collaboration and promote the Capital Markets brand.
  • Support the development and expansion of the Capital Markets platform in Canada.
  • Represent the company at industry events to enhance visibility and credibility in the marketplace.
  • Work alongside Colliers Brokerage Advisors to augment their capabilities and deliver additional value to clients.

Qualifications

  • A valid Real Estate license and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role within the commercial real estate sector.
  • Established relationships with Investors, including REITs, Public Corporations, Pension Funds, and other significant Institutional entities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and communication skills, with a proactive and enterprising mindset.
  • Proven ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating effective leadership and task management skills.
  • Resourceful and hands-on, with a willingness to take initiative and contribute to team efforts.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and quick to learn new concepts.
  • A Bachelor's degree; a post-secondary qualification in finance, economics, real estate, or a related field is advantageous.
