About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team at Irpinia Kitchens. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Safely load and unload construction materials, including lumber, tools, and equipment, from vehicles and storage areas.
  • Material Preparation: Assist in preparing materials for construction, including mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete and asphalt.
  • Site Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and piling salvaged materials, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Tend to and feed machines and equipment used in construction, ensuring they are properly maintained and operated.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Work Environment

As a Carpenter Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work under pressure, handling heavy loads and performing repetitive tasks. You must be physically demanding and able to work in a noisy and dusty environment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, flexible, reliable, team player, and hardworking
