About the Role

R.A.M CONTRACTING LTD is seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team. As a Construction Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Assist in the movement of materials, tools, and equipment to and from construction sites.
  • Perform Pre-Operational Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Read Blueprints to Determine Work Requirements: Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand the scope of work and identify potential issues.
  • Assist in Demolishing Buildings: Support demolition teams in the safe and efficient removal of structures.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance Work: Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and machinery are in good working condition.
  • Remove Rubble and Other Debris at Construction Sites: Assist in the removal of debris and waste from construction sites.
  • Tend or Feed Machines or Equipment Used in Construction: Operate and maintain equipment and machinery used in construction.
Work Environment

As a Construction Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying work conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including industrial, commercial, and residential sites.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
