Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Infrastructure Leader to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of multiple major capital projects in support of our organization's mandate and the BC Cancer capital plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of multiple major capital projects to ensure project objectives are delivered to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Deliver high-impact solutions to the Executive Director, Capital Planning by identifying key issues, defining appropriate work structure, and driving workable recommendations that create value for the organization.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, Provincial Program leaders, and the Business Initiatives and Strategic Priorities portfolio to implement the BC Cancer capital plan through development of action plans, providing consultation, advice, and support for the leaders responsible for the deliverables.
  • Provide leadership for capital projects, maintain ongoing support for initiatives from project sponsors and user groups, ensure appropriate engagement, review, and approval of project plans and deliverables, and update partners on project status.
  • Work closely with Executive sponsors and project managers to develop and monitor practices in project management to ensure project timelines and budget constraints are met.
Requirements
  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master's Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration, or a relevant healthcare discipline.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of recent, related experience in project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of partner groups.
  • Project Management Professional designation considered an asset.
  • Experience or working knowledge of quality improvement methodology, change management is key to the success of this role.

Salary Range

$116,591 - $167,600 per year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant education and experience and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part-time roles.
