Infrastructure and Cyber Security Project Leader

The Infrastructure and Cyber Security Project Leader is responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring that projects are effectively planned, coordinated, and delivered. This role involves defining project goals, developing comprehensive plans, and managing cross-departmental teams to achieve successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Engages with stakeholders to establish project goals, scope, and deliverables for cyber security and infrastructure projects.
- Creates detailed project timelines, resource allocations, and budget plans to guarantee on-time and on-budget project delivery.
- Facilitates collaboration among diverse teams to assign tasks, monitor progress, and address challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manages the deployment of IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, and cloud technologies, providing technical support and guidance from initiation to implementation.
- Collaborates with infrastructure teams to enhance system performance, scalability, and dependability.
- Ensures adherence to industry standards and best practices in infrastructure management and configuration.
- Supports the execution of cybersecurity strategies, policies, and measures to safeguard critical assets and data, and assists in various cybersecurity project implementations.
- Participates in security evaluations, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Works alongside cybersecurity teams to manage incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions, providing technical support and facilitating communication with relevant parties.
- Offers leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Mentors team members, offering technical knowledge and professional development assistance as necessary.
- Encourages communication and knowledge sharing among team members to boost collaboration and efficiency.
- Reports project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders, executives, and project sponsors.
- Prepares and delivers presentations, reports, and recommendations to senior management regarding project progress and results.
- Acts as the primary liaison for external vendors, partners, and clients involved in infrastructure and cyber security projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA, ITIL) are preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in project management, infrastructure management, or cyber security roles, with a focus on leading complex initiatives.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, networking principles, and cyber security fundamentals.
- Experience with cloud technologies, virtualization, and containerization platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
- Proven success in delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
