Strategic Business Analyst

Position Overview:
Electronic Arts stands as a leading name in the entertainment industry, engaging millions globally through a diverse array of renowned video games.
The DevOps division is seeking a Business Analyst to enhance our operations. Our team, composed of Project Managers and Engineers, is dedicated to supporting a vast video game ecosystem across various public cloud platforms. We play a crucial role in guiding game development teams regarding infrastructure architecture and financial investments. As we strive to implement greater automation for our developers, we require improved insights into our expenditure and optimization strategies. Our collaboration with EA's Production Infrastructure & Engineering (PI&E) team is vital for effective infrastructure budgeting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and communicate with teams across the organization, translating technical requirements into financial terms, including interactions with finance and technical departments.
- Monitor and present significant insights regarding our infrastructure expenditures to partners and leadership.
- Create automated dashboards for external stakeholders to access financial data efficiently.
- Project future infrastructure costs, develop queries, and analyze data to aid in forecasting, cost modeling, and chargebacks, while highlighting key insights into infrastructure cost determinants.
- Influence and facilitate strategic decision-making by modeling business scenarios and delivering profound insights into data and complex issues using suitable methodologies and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of infrastructure costs and workload consumption patterns on cloud platforms, including familiarity with providers and configurations (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Proficient in data visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience with SQL and related database tools for querying intricate data sets.
- A B.A./B.S. in STEM fields, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant domains.
