About the Role

As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and diversification of our business. You will be responsible for leading the success of your business unit's operational goals, inspiring and motivating your team members to take charge of their projects, and fostering a culture of belonging and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and personify our company values and culture
  • Oversee your business unit's operational objectives, including quality, commercial/financial, people, and culture
  • Drive collaboration, identify opportunities, and develop innovative strategies to expand services in the local market to achieve annual growth targets
  • Collaborate with leaders from other business units to secure new opportunities and optimize resource allocation
  • Attract, retain, motivate, and inspire a team of project leaders
  • Lead with enthusiasm, delegate, and empower teams
  • Coach your team's business development acumen
  • Work with all team members to develop and obtain the necessary qualifications, training, and experience to achieve their professional growth
  • Participate and present a unified company voice within the local business community, through networking, and active participation to help grow the business and recruit the best talent

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in operational and business development leadership, preferably within a consulting service business
  • Solid experience leading and delivering municipal and infrastructure projects
  • Professional industry credentials (PMP, etc., or MBA (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience) are an asset
  • Clear understanding of a professional services business model, including workforce composition and resource management strategies, risk management strategies, and commercial strategies
  • An established strong network/market presence (applicable regional industry and trade associations) and experience leading the integration of services and the development of new market opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills for all levels of our clients and our own organization, including a proven ability to write winning proposals
  • The ability to project and maintain a positive outlook and demonstrate an energetic disposition
