Job Summary

Chimmy's Neighbourhood Pub & Grill is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality of service in our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Oversee the daily activities of food service staff, including preparation, portioning, and presentation of food.

Train and Develop Staff

Provide training and guidance to food service staff on job duties, sanitation procedures, and quality control standards.

Hire and Manage Staff

Recruit, hire, and manage a team of food service staff to ensure adequate coverage and high-quality service.

Quality Control and Assurance

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Inventory Management

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste.

Scheduling and Workload Management

Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Work Environment

Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Physical and Mental Demands

Ability to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and communicate effectively with customers and staff.

Personal Qualities

Client focus, excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, and a team player attitude.

Working Conditions

35 hours per week, permanent position, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and quality food in a fast-paced environment.
