Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cafeteria Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of our food service operations. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Work Environment

The role will be based in a hotel, motel, or resort setting, which may involve exposure to a noisy atmosphere, odours, and wet or hot conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the requisition of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff responsible for food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure that food quality and service meet established standards.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit relevant reports.
  • Oversee the assembly of trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish work schedules for staff.
Supervision

The supervisor will oversee a team of 1 to 2 individuals.

Physical and Work Conditions

This position is characterized by a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the expectation of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as bending and kneeling.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
