About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Sawridge Travel Centre. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our guests and exceed their expectations.
  • Chef Management: Supervise and train a team of chefs to ensure that all kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we are always stocked and ready to meet demand.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Staff Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with staff accommodation available.
  • Security and Safety: Must undergo a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and reliable.
