About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at SLPH Restaurants Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and assist with food preparation as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment, including deep fryers and grills.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move objects weighing up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and assist with heavy lifting and moving as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn new skills.
  • Health Benefits: Access to a comprehensive health care plan.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
