About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Yatin's Kitchen Inc. as a Head Cook/Kitchen Manager. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour bi-weekly work schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish.
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
    • Manage inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
    • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, hire, and train staff to meet the needs of the kitchen.
    • Develop and implement effective staff management strategies to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Order supplies and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels.
    • Manage kitchen operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
    • Certifications
      • Food Safety Certificate.
