Position Overview
This role is primarily focused on the field sales within the Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) Division. Our mission in ADC is to empower individuals living with diabetes to take control of their health through innovative products that deliver precise data for informed decision-making. We are at the forefront of transforming glucose monitoring with our advanced sensing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
As a Diabetes Sales Specialist, you will:
- Develop a comprehensive territory strategy aimed at optimizing sales by evaluating market trends and leveraging available data to create, implement, and modify plans to achieve both immediate and long-term objectives;
- Enhance sales and market share of glucose sensors and blood glucose monitoring test strips by effectively educating healthcare professionals on the benefits of Abbott products;
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in sales and marketing to increase market presence;
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about the disease landscape, new product offerings (both Abbott and competitors), and evolving market conditions to effectively manage your territory;
- Provide clear, concise, and consistent communication regarding sales activities, follow-ups, and reporting, while adhering to key administrative and project timelines;
- Ensure proper maintenance of all assigned company assets, documentation, and supplies in line with company policies for optimal operational efficiency.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
- A bachelor's degree along with experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales;
- A minimum of three years of sales experience;
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities;
- Outstanding interpersonal and selling skills;
- The capability to devise and present creative solutions;
- Strong negotiation skills.
