Job Summary

Penske Transportation Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Human Resources Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for leading and implementing HR strategies that drive business results and support the growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retention and New Associate Experience
    • Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure a seamless transition for new associates
    • Lead and coach onboarding ambassadors to ensure successful onboarding experiences
    • Collaborate with managers to provide support and resources to new associates
    • Identify trends and areas for improvement through data analysis and feedback
  • Talent Management
    • Develop and implement talent management strategies to drive business results
    • Coach and develop leaders to improve people management skills
    • Monitor and evaluate development plans to ensure progress and identify areas for improvement
    • Prepare and present succession planning and talent review reports
  • Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
    • Collaborate with departments to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies
    • Develop and maintain relationships with technical schools, universities, and colleges to attract top talent
    • Partner with field recruiters to develop and implement recruitment plans
  • Associate and Labor Relations
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with associates and management
    • Advise associates and management on HR policies, programs, and procedures
    • Investigate associate concerns and provide recommendations
  • HR Expertise & Compliance
    • Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Focus on compensation parity and associate handbook acknowledgment compliance
    • Ensure all company and legally mandated training obligations are met

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on talent management and acquisition
  • Proven track record of driving business results through HR strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
