Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Marketing Acquisition Manager to join our Subscriptions Revenue team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing our acquisition marketing plan and delivering on acquisition targets through an omni-channel experience across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute omni-channel digital subscription acquisition plans based on target audience and campaign objectives.
  • Grow acquisition through targeted campaigns, defining key customer segments and journey.
  • Work with internal and external partners to develop ad creative strategies and execute on these strategies for our acquisition campaigns.
  • Manage and grow onsite acquisitions via the dynamic paywall, pencils, onsite banners, and interstitials.
  • Collaborate with our Paid Media partners to launch campaigns on our paid platforms and improve performance.
  • Design testing plans to improve conversions across all channels and iterate on creative testing strategy.
  • Integrate with product and operational teams to identify key opportunities to heighten the customer journey and experience, especially for the purchase funnel.
  • Develop insights into customer behavior and work with internal and external partners to define target segments.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in digital subscription marketing, both within and outside the industry.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree from a recognized institution in a related field, such as Marketing or Business.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant role experience in marketing management, with a high-level understanding of digital media and experience in subscription/membership marketing.
  • Ability to execute marketing campaigns from end to end, bringing marketing plans to life in market across different channels.
  • Strong understanding of paid media campaign execution and performance.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Canadian content landscape, particularly news.
  • Strong understanding of conversion funnel analysis.
  • Ability to communicate across different functional teams and with external vendors/partners.
  • Collaborative style, working well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
