Infrastructure Operations Specialist

Position Overview
The Infrastructure Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing maintenance activities, ensuring that all tasks align with contractual obligations. This position involves the identification and verification of necessary maintenance tasks, interpretation of contracts, and coordination of both in-house and subcontractor efforts to guarantee compliance with specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of infrastructure assets including pavements, signage, and bridges, and coordinate necessary maintenance work.
- Collaborate with management to determine optimal methods for achieving compliance, whether through internal resources or subcontracting.
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to contract requirements and quality standards.
- Supervise maintenance teams, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate the efforts of on-site teams during incidents.
- Work with fleet management for the inspection and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Manage project resources and materials effectively.
- Identify and implement improvements in operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of maintenance activities in accordance with company policies.
- Engage with various stakeholders, including contractors and public agencies, to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Assist in the selection and negotiation of subcontractors for maintenance projects.
- Participate in routine work planning and traffic control measures.
- Be available for emergency response as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the construction or road maintenance sector, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Work Environment
This role requires a balance of office and fieldwork, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions and physical demands including lifting and operating equipment.
