Position Overview
The Infrastructure Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, and coordinating both in-house and subcontractor activities. This role demands a proactive approach to managing maintenance crews and ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of infrastructure conditions including pavements, signage, and other assets to determine necessary maintenance actions.
- Collaborate with management to decide on the most effective maintenance strategies, whether through internal teams or subcontractors, while considering cost and efficiency.
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Supervise and mentor maintenance teams, facilitating training and development to enhance performance and safety compliance.
- Respond to emergency situations, coordinating on-site efforts and documenting incidents as required.
- Work with fleet management to ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of vehicles and equipment.
- Oversee project materials and assets, ensuring proper management and utilization.
- Identify and implement improvements in work processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure the successful completion of all work orders in a timely manner.
- Review and validate claims related to infrastructure damages.
- Coordinate with field teams to maintain accurate documentation and inventory management.
- Engage with external stakeholders to address concerns related to infrastructure maintenance.
- Assist in the selection and negotiation processes with subcontractors.
- Support routine maintenance activities and traffic control measures.
- Be available for emergency response as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years of experience in construction or road maintenance, with prior supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Work Environment
This position involves a mix of office and fieldwork, requiring adaptability to various conditions. Employees may be exposed to outdoor weather elements and must be prepared for physical demands associated with the role.
