Job Description

Job Summary

Ferrovial is seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Infrastructure Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our infrastructure projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Contract Manager to develop and implement operational strategies that meet contract obligations and ensure compliance with Ferrovial's global standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to management, including operational performance metrics, safety statistics, and quality control data.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that operational staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure that projects are being delivered in accordance with Ferrovial's quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Provide input to the development of business cases and proposals for new projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of Ferrovial's global standards and best practices for infrastructure operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as engineering, construction management, or business administration.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in infrastructure operations, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management and road maintenance, repair, and/or construction principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of environments, including office and field settings. The position will require regular travel to project sites and occasional overnight stays.
