THIS IS A TEMPORARY REPLACEMENT POSITION FOR A BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEE. Terms and conditions of employment are as outlined in the Support Staff Collective Agreement.

Position Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for the organization and supervision of both on-site and online assessments, coordinating schedules, room assignments, and ensuring compliance with testing protocols.

Key Responsibilities:


• Responding to inquiries regarding assessments and procedures via various communication channels.

• Scheduling examinations, overseeing proctoring duties, and assisting students with special needs.

• Managing the receipt and return of examination materials from faculty.

• Ensuring appropriate accommodations for students with disabilities during assessments.

• Adapting tests to various formats and coordinating room assignments.

• Maintaining a conducive environment for testing.

• Upholding academic integrity and ensuring compliance with relevant policies.

• Preparing the testing area for subsequent days.

• Scoring placement assessments and entering results into the database.

• Reporting results as required and contributing to the development of assessment policies.

• Assisting in training new staff on testing protocols and technologies.

• Familiarizing with new technologies introduced in the assessment services.

• Utilizing digital tools to compile information for reports as needed.

Qualifications:


• Completion of a one-year postsecondary certificate in a relevant field such as business or human services.

• Minimum of two years' experience in a student services role, preferably in an educational setting.

• Familiarity with adaptive technologies and the ability to troubleshoot software issues.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for communication and scheduling.

• Understanding of student needs and mental health issues, with strong communication skills.

• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on student support.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Commitment to confidentiality regarding student information.

• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours as required.

• Experience in a testing environment is advantageous.

• Familiarity with scheduling software is a plus.

• Experience in a postsecondary institution with knowledge of student development is beneficial.
