Civeo Crown Employees LP is on the lookout for a skilled Chef to join our team at our lodges. Our kitchens operate around the clock, providing a unique opportunity to prepare a diverse range of exquisite meals, allowing you to refine your culinary skills while pursuing your leadership ambitions. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the daily operations of a kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide the kitchen staff in their daily tasks.
  • Motivate and cultivate a high-performing, engaged team.
  • Ensure an outstanding guest experience by maintaining exceptional food quality.
  • Address customer feedback and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Run an efficient and profitable kitchen operation.
  • Oversee kitchen scheduling, menu development, and forecasting.
  • Handle all corporate reporting related to procurement and payroll.
  • Manage monthly purchasing of kitchen supplies.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate standards and procedures.
  • Promote workplace safety and health regulations among staff.
  • Collaborate with the Lodge manager to foster a culture of safety.

Qualifications

  • Must possess an Inter-provincial Red Seal Cook designation.
  • Certification as Chef de Cuisine (CCC) or a Culinary Arts Diploma is preferred.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in team supervision.
  • Standard First Aid certification is required.
  • Valid Food Safety certification is necessary.
  • Ability to work effectively in a unionized environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Sound business acumen, including budgeting and inventory management.
  • Ability to handle unexpected challenges while maintaining smooth kitchen operations.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test.
