We are currently seeking an Employee Benefits Advisor to join our expanding team. This role is essential in maintaining our momentum and ensuring our clients receive outstanding support. The position requires full-time on-site engagement.

As an Employee Benefits Advisor , your primary responsibility will be to foster business growth and enhance client loyalty through your expertise in group benefits solutions and your capacity to cultivate robust client relationships. You will primarily oversee a designated client portfolio while also contributing to business development efforts alongside the consulting team in the area. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to advance into a senior advisory role with a greater emphasis on business development.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and will be enthusiastic about contributing to a vibrant and evolving team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and nurture the overall relationship with a designated client portfolio, providing strategic consulting, service delivery, financial oversight, plan design, pricing strategies, trend analysis, renewal negotiations, and benchmarking.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to enhance client retention.
  • Maintain constructive relationships with clients and key decision-makers.
  • Manage client expectations and address concerns or issues effectively.
  • Assess clients' Group Insurance risks and propose suitable plan designs and cost-saving strategies.
  • Develop annual client plans to ensure clients receive value-added services aligned with their goals and objectives.
  • Accountable for the revenue and profitability of client accounts and projects.
  • Identify innovative growth opportunities within the client portfolio through multi-product offerings and unique solution development.
  • Actively participate in prospecting and securing new clients through competitive bidding, proactive networking, and referrals.
  • Manage client expectations based on anticipated growth from the sales team.
  • Engage in continuous education to maintain a comprehensive understanding of employee benefit legislation, administrative matters, plan regulations, claims management, and client-specific procedures.
  • Attend industry conferences and seminars to promote services and stay informed about industry trends and developments.
  • Represent People Corporation in the marketplace and act as a successful brand ambassador.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the full range of People Corporation products and services.
  • Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with suppliers to foster strong partnerships for clients.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and shared services across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Group Benefits in a client-facing or consulting role, providing strategic and innovative solutions to complex benefits challenges.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Group Benefits sector, including funding and underwriting arrangements.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, along with strategic planning, communication, and listening abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • A positive demeanor and a collaborative team player who engages well with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A solution-oriented individual with exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in utilizing multi-channel technology.
  • Completion of or the ability to complete the Life License Qualification Program within a specified timeframe after joining.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • A valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
  • Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation, or actively pursuing it, is considered an asset.
